Parks & Trails
The Town of Urbana has a wealth of year-round recreational opportunities which include three public parks providing access to Keuka Lake, the Finger Lakes Trail system; and 3688 acres of public State Land.
Depot Park
Depot Park is located at 7 Water St, Hammondsport, NY 14840
During the summer months there is swimming with lifeguards on duty. Hours and Days Lifeguards will be on duty will be available in late June. Public restrooms are open May- October.
Champlin Beach
Champlin Beach is located on Rt 54 in the Town of Urbana. (Near the Hammondsport Fire Department)
During the summer months there is swimming with lifeguards on duty. Hours and Days Lifeguards will be on duty will be available in late June. Public restrooms are available when Lifeguards are on duty.
Curtiss Park
COMING SOON! The Town is developing Curtiss park wich is located on Liberty Street in Hammondsport. Stay tuned for more info.
Presley Memorial Dog Park
The Presley Memorial Dog Park is located at 8419 State Route 54, Hammondsport, NY 14840). It is located on Back Valley Road, right across the Street from the Curtiss Museum. There is a section for large dogs and one for small dogs.

Triad Trail
Developed as an Eagle Project to link the Finger Lakes Trail to the Champlin Beach area and the future Urbana trail system. The elevation goes from 734 feet at State Route 54 to 1,192 feet at Winding Stair Road. To get to the Finger Lakes Trail go up Winding Stair Road about 1/2 mile where you meet the main trail.
June Bug Trail
Developed as an Eagle project to link the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum to the Finger Lakes Trail. This trail goes uphill on town property beyond the highway garage and will eventually join the FLT at a point where there is a trail register. From this point you can either continue uphill to follow the main branch in a westerly direction or turn towards Winding Stairs Road and follow the main branch in an easterly direction. At Winding Stairs Road you can turn downhill to the Triad Trail.
Location: State Route 54 across from the town highway garage. Follow the road up the hill (Blue blaze markers).
Finger Lakes Trail
You can reach a portion of the Finger Lakes Trails on at 8022-8066, Pleasant Valley Rd, Bath, NY 14810. There are signs for parking near the road. You can also park at the Town Office Building at 8014 Pleasant Valley Road. When you start walking, it will seem like you are on someones property, but keep going until you reach the actual trail.

The Parks and Recreation Program is provided by the Parks & Recreation Committee, in conjunction with the Town of Wayne and the Town of Pulteney. The Summer Recreation Program offers daily activities including arts & crafts, sports, and games as well as special activities. The Swimming Program will be held at Champlin Beach and will offer swimming instruction for all levels of swimmers.
